Specialty cut flowers grown on an historic farm in Trenton, Maine.

Established in 2014, Salt Farm Flowers sits on the Union River Bay in a spot previously farmed by the Remick family from the early 1800s.

What began as a few perennial rows and a roadside flower cart now spans nearly 3 acres of working cut flower fields, where our team tends to approximately 10,000 plants each year.

In addition to the historic 1830s barn that has been lovingly restored on our property, we utilize two hoop houses and a solar geothermal greenhouse to extend our growing season and bring designer-favorite blooms to our Downeast community.

Today, we grow over 100 varieties

While our services now include full service event flowers as well as wholesale and retail sales, we still embrace our roots and keep our flower cart operating several days a week during the growing season for our flower-loving neighbors.

We design with what we grow, which means you’ll see our fields blooming with designer-favorite varieties of flowers and foliage, perfect for weddings and events.

All of our flowers are sustainably grown, using organic methods. Because of our farm’s unique location on the water near Acadia National Park, we take extra care to practice waterway- and pollinator-friendly methods that contribute to the sustainability of our region.

We’re a small but mighty team of flower lovers

Salt Farm is a true team effort—we’ve all found flowers from diverse walks of life and we are passionate about spreading the gift of locally grown flowers to our community—and beyond.

Salt Farm is a working farm and is not open to visitors.
